If you really think about it, hitting the snooze button in the morning doesn’t make sense. It is like saying “I hate getting up in the morning, so I do it over, and over, and over again. - Demetri Martin
- Set your intention the night before: This is the most important step as it is scientifically proven that usually, your last thought before bed is your first thought in the morning. If possible, try creating some genuine excitement for the next morning (Try to remember your childhood days when it is Eid’s/Christmas/Diwali’s eve or the night before your birthday. How much you were excited; you even woke up before the alarm goes on. So, just try to repeat it here also)
- Keep your alarm clock across the room: Movement creates energy.
- Brush your teeth: Use a mouthwash for extra oomph! And since you are in the bathroom already, splash some water on your face.
- Drink a full glass of water: After 6-8 hours without water you will be naturally dehydrated and dehydration causes fatigue. So hydrate yourself ASAP.
- Do some stretching/light exercise: Earn your morning shower!
